Rajesvari Approach
Rajesvari Yoga is founded in the practices of traditional North Indian yoga and their capacities to enhance the physical aspect, whilst bringing calm to the mental state.
Our teaching is in accordance with the 8 limbs of yoga. Personal and social behaviours, regular practise of physical form, breathing exercises incorporating concentration and meditation, are all combined as a way of life.
Awareness of the body’s natural ability to repair and rejuvenate, coupled with a connection to to nature, create an overall sense of well-being, characterised by good health and contentment.
General classes are each structured with a warm-up, followed by medium and high-intensity stretching, strengthening and balancing sequences. Foundation asanas and variations thereof, are held for up to a minute, all sessions concluding with a cooldown, relaxation and savasana.
A focus on the physical challenges of postures, brings about an improvement in one’s strength and flexibility together with a calmness of mind.
Regular asana practice, coupled with adherence to yogic lifestyle principles, aligns the body and mind, enhancing the overall well-being of the practitioner.
Rajesvari Yoga is open to all with classes being offered at beginner, intermediate and practitioner levels. The traditional practices are easily accessible in safe and comfortable environments.
The underlying principle for all levels is that the benefits will be experienced immediately following a class, but will develop into an overall increase in well-being with regular practice
Graeme & The Studio
Graeme Heinrich
The Rajesvari Yoga Shala began as an upgrade of the granny flat which was on site when we took over the property, ‘Pilbara Park’. It became a labour of love that transformed the tired cement sheet portable into what it is now.
The studio is a masterpiece of the artisan, with each sandstone piece carved by hammer and chisel then married to recycled building materials. The end result is a truly unique and beautiful space in which to learn and practise.
Free of preconception, the studio evolved as the windows and doors, floor and ceiling boards together with various fittings and decorations came to us, each with their own history.
Everything in the studio is special.
